The Pirates set sail to Iceland to shoot rails in Gulli Gudmundsson and Eiki & Halldor Helgason’s hometown.

In the beginning of December the Pirates crew began their filming season and traveled up to Sälen to shoot urban action next to the ski resorts. The Icelandic Viking’s Gulli Gudmundsson and Eiki Helgason sailed over to team up with Kalle Ohlson, Danny Larsen and the rest of the Pirates media crew. The snow kept on dumping and they managed to hit a lot of different features in just a few days as well as a little bit of shedding in the resort.
Check out this video for an appetizer while the mission in the streets of Stockholm continues.

Eiki consumes way more Coca-Cola then water.

A few weeks before the 2010 Holy Oly, a friend told me he wanted to compete in the Holy Oly. I had never been so I asked Pat “How do you get in the Holy Oly?” Pat replied “Go up and Strap in.” While I was shooting the event, a couple little guys hiked up and asked me what it takes to ride the course. I told them “go up and strap in.” When you go to a snowboard contest in the Northwest, expect some soul and some legendary snowboarders from all generations.
