With the Up For Grabs giveaway one lucky reader wins a new kit as opposed to an old one. This month, Kyle Clancy is giving away his Rossignol board, Gordini goggles, Under Armour outerwear, and DAKINE gloves; all of it brand spanking new. If we were giving away one of his old setups—say, what he rode when he first got sponsored—we’d be giving away Bugz goggles and a Killer Loop board. (You know, the ones that came with the detachable noses for park or powder.) Killer Loop snowboards? Detachable noses? Even fifteen years ago you couldn’t give those things away. Actually, someone gave ’em to Kyle and he rode ’em at Stowe, so that last statement isn’t true. I have to say that Kyle is one of the most talented freestylers period. Anyone who has seen the Grenade, BrainFarm, Community Project, or Mongo Pro movies knows this. Also, if I don’t prop Kyle up after exposing his sordid sponsorship past, then I’ll be given a detachable nose.

When JP Walker and Jeremy Jones order you to highlight Milosport in the Talkin’ Shop column, it’s pretty evident that the shop is doing something right.
You never know when you’ll run into JP and Jeremy in the liftline, so when you do, throw out some of these terms and stack that street cred, kids.
The 2010 Ride Shakedown at Snoqualmie kicked off with a rail jam. This is a video of that very rail jam.
A few weeks before the 2010 Holy Oly, a friend told me he wanted to compete in the Holy Oly. I had never been so I asked Pat “How do you get in the Holy Oly?” Pat replied “Go up and Strap in.” While I was shooting the event, a couple little guys hiked up and asked me what it takes to ride the course. I told them “go up and strap in.” When you go to a snowboard contest in the Northwest, expect some soul and some legendary snowboarders from all generations.

Being the giving magazine that we are, SNOWBOARDER snagged a handful of photos from the December 2009 issue; it’s our present to you.
Nothing too exotic or life altering, but definitely above average for the Northeast. It snowed and some other stuff happened too.
SNOWBOARDER felt like shit after the Olympics. The 7th annual Holy Oly at The Summit Snoqualmie made us feel much better.

Agreed! I appreciate what KFC is doing for snowboarding!
Monster truck muddin, anyone?
Kyle rocks!
As for fifteen years i still got decks from when i started ridin twenty ago. if kyles been at it that long he knows whats good. Not only being able to avoid serious injury but to keep gettig spots in videos takes determination and skills. Good hustle homeboy!
Got to hang with Kyle in Argentina, won’t ever forget that trip. Kyle’s a solid dude,
survey not working? i wanna win!
I think it would be rad if Kyle got some footage shredding Stowe,Vermont or Jay Peak. It would be even more fun to see him mash the terrain on a Rossignol Mini during spring conditions. He just rips it…way to go KFC
Survey is hooped – register me anyway – I need new shiny schwag – please……

i need a new set up to shread the gnar puppies apart in VT this winter.
ya thats a sick set up just what i need for the coming months
way to keep it real and progress even with crummy gear Kyle! Also SICK first-try back 360 in That’s It That’s All. Legit for sure!
wow! i was just checking to see if i had won yet and i had to leave another comment after the last one. i was hopeful that there was a slim chance you guys added boots or bindings or lift tickets to thi sweet deal, but i guess not. i also see the last comment where this gear is called crummy. well to address “crummy” i would have to say the kirkland brand (burton) puts out the de-laminest busted binding latch havin stuff around and now you can even get it extra shattery tracks (est). so back to kyle. keep ridin what they flow, and flowin when you ride… hope to get lifted with you soon, and put in some hot laps!
i dunno why my gravatar didnt show up? i’ll try again.
kyle makes me so excited. when i saw this comp i may have wee’d a tinsy little bit. what makes it worse, i’m in the uni library. damn. so i hope i win if only to ease the humiliation i am feeling right now! actually, anyway i want to win it for my boyfriend who wants to get into boarding big-time but doesnt have the cash for a set-up. also i think it’s cool that kyle rides rossignol, since i get so much crap off my mates for my rossignol diva. meh. i like it and it works for me. hopefully i can win this and my boyfriend can get as pro as me haha.
Does Kyle even ride for Rossignol anymore?
damn i keep checking to see if this contest will ever end… will it???
sooooo will we ever find out who wins? i guess i’ll keep checkin in.
i’ll keep up the persistance just like kyle has done his whole career. whats up? who gets the goods? wow this has gone on for so long.
