Mammoth Mountain has officially announced its plans to stay open until August. As another option to ride along with the summer camps in Oregon, Utah, Colorado, and Whistler, the warm season is shaping up to be pretty rad. The only other summer that Mammoth has ever been open during the month of August was back in 1995. Full press release from Mammoth below:

“You may associate California with the classic surf film "Endless Summer," but here in Mammoth Mountain, California we are in the midst of a true Endless Winter. We can honestly say this season at Mammoth has been the best in the country, producing the best spring conditions in decades. Even our biggest season on record [668" 2010/2011] did not produce the kind of conditions and coverage we're seeing right now.

With a current base depth of 120" at Main Lodge and over 270" at the summit, Mammoth will be operating DAILY into August for one of our longest seasons in history. When will this endless winter end? We don't have that answer yet, but we do know that the skiing and riding is all-time right now. Get out there and get your summer shred on with us.

Cali4nia Passes are still on sale – amp up the winter fun with unlimited access to Mammoth Mountain, Bear Mountain, Snow Summit and June Mountain. Buy now and hit the hill with us this weekend.”
