Snowboard Realms
With a name that has become as synonymous with viral snowboarding media as it has with bacon-wrapped hot dogs and donkey shows, TJ Schnieder and his Snowboard Realms rules the roostin’ when it comes to video blogging. Here, TJ, a seven year Superpark attendee–and his colleague Leo Hoorn collaborate on an emo rock-infused edit. Not since 2007’s First Kiss have so many Capita team riders appeared together in one video. This time though, the hi-8 has been replaced by HD! Featuring the talents of Scott Stevens, Brandon Cocard, Sage Kotsenberg, “MVP” Murray Hodgson, Jessica Kimura, Niklas Mattsson, Jared Dawoud, Andrew Burns and Dustin Craven. **Warning** This video contains a frontside invert with an obscene amount of foreplay.

Video Gypsy
If you’ve never heard of Buddy Back 7 or Johnny Frontflip, then you’re not alone. SNOWBOARDER checked the Superpark credentialed riders list and couldn’t find them there either. It wasn’t until we Googled said names ’til we realized that Nick Cater, the auteur behind Video Gypsy pulled an Ellis Island and just used whatever titles he felt like to denote the riders. This means that you’ll have to do some sleuthing to figure out that Buddy Back 7 at 1:02 is actually Marc Swoboda or Johnny Frontflip at 1:59 is actually Ted Borland. While your sleuthing, you might want to look up Shakira’s video for the song “Gypsy” where her pouty lips are put to good use as she bares her navel while also baring her harmonica-playing soul!

Great vids.I picked the Video Gypsy flick.Seemed to cover more.Could of not used all the corny names.

  4. 06/13/10 - 10:19 am

Quick question. Would you rather have the videos side-by-side at 300px and click the full screen icon to watch ‘em. Or have them stacked one above another at the normal 600px width? We initially felt that stacking the vids would create unfair advantages for the video placed at the top. What’s your thoughts?

Keep them how they are the side by side keeps favoring low and full screen provides fair judgement for all/

Gypsy covers more of what went on during super park and shows a ton of different riders even if the they did not take the time to label the shots correctly. Snowboard Realms is really a Capita team vid of super park but at the end of the day I think it is better put together and more professionally made. My vote is for Snowboard Realms… nice Job TJ and crew!

    thanks Stone ,
My understanding of the contest was that we were supposed to film a crew of guys not just an overview of the whole event . We had a rough superpark this year , 3 days and 3 trips to the hospital , day 1 Burns blown Ac in his shoulder , Day 2 Jess Busted up her hip , Day 3 Sage broken collar bone , we also had Cocard go down with a Bruised Ankle and Stevens jacked his back on that hand spring gatorade bin bash…. but all in all stoked we were able to make something from the event .

Realms has Dustin in it. And we don’t have to watch him fuck a teenager on film. Seems like an easy vote. Like the shots in Gypsy.

NICCCCCEEEE, keep em side by side, its perfect

and snowboard realms actually made a good video with a good crew…the gypsy one didn’t have any direction and looks like lots of poached shots…like film whichever dude is doing the double cork or some shit. if you want to see overall coverage, snowboardermag does videos of the overview of each day, this was supposed to be something different. good job TJ, Leo, and Capita crew.

Rob- we believed that the rules were to film a crew, our crew was CAPiTA which is why our video is centered around them , Leo and I filmed an overview of everything, so we do have all the double corks 1440s the chas , lonnie’s . helgas’s ect. but they weren’t a part of our crew.

Man it’s TJ frigin Schneider. He’s like one of the biggest pro’s ever! WHO is video gypsy? It looks like he stole his dad’s handycam and snuck into Superpark. How did he even get into this thing? TJ probably had a mad crew of people filming and editing and stuff. The other dude is probably just some punk hack working in his basement like a shmuch. TJ’s artsy stuff is whack but at least he’s a legit pro who probably got paid to be there and make his edit.

    06/15/10 - 7:10 pm

Gypsies was fun and energetic- Realms song got sort of obnoxious about halfway through but good job TJ and capita crew. Gypsies had a great variety of shots and mix things up very well although not as produced and directed as snowboard realms, great job Nick at keeping it interesting!

  37. people...
    06/15/10 - 7:28 pm

as tj has said, something I don’t think many of you understand, is that these edits were made to focus on a crew of guys. how boring would it be to seem the same highlights from 16 different videos? If all the videos were just highlights, they would be full of the same banger shots from the same exact angles…these edits were about following a crew and making an edit that showed the fun they had at SuperPark. Some of these edits may not have the biggest tricks, but are about having fun with your friends at such an amazing event. So, don’t vote against one because it’s too much of a ‘team’ video, that doesn’t make sense…I believe there were updates for each day of SuperPark for that….just my opinion…

jesse jerome – not to sure If you are referring to this edit or The Snowboard Realms in general.. but, well that’s snowboarding , You could accuse every pro snowboarder as being self centered and full of themselves. There are a ton of kids that enjoy the realms, and it’s something that I enjoy doing, and on a personal note it gives me a pretty rad “diary” of sorts to look back on with my friends that have been a part of the videos. And I’m super stoked on events like this which give me another opportunity to see what people have to say and I’m able to answer back. Win or lose this event that’s cool, I’m happy with Leo and think he did a good job on this edit.

And through online comment posting snowboarders have once again proven themselves to be ignorant, egotistical whiny brats. If Super Dave Osborne were here he would call you both hacks and get Fuji to drop a piano on you both. It’s snowboarding. Perhaps the most meaningless of all the useless past times. That being said, Pat Bridges has a mean hand plant and T-Bird sure can dance the jitterbug.

  44. mahalo
    06/16/10 - 11:07 pm

i think that the realms had a more produced style and had a intention when the filmed. the video gypsy seemed to just set up on a feature and just film everyone who hit it and threw it all together. i also loved the fact that the realms focused on a team. TJ has my vote!

    TJ!

  46. Motivemd
    06/17/10 - 9:13 am

With all due respects and hands down, both videos are in fact part of this video competition. Content and presentation go to Video Gypsy. The main reason is that you could see the jump way better from those angles get a real idea of what’s going down.

  47. Motivemd
    06/17/10 - 9:19 am

I don’t think defending every comment in a video competition will get anyone anywhere. I like to see a director let their videos do the talking. Good job both crews, they are great videos!

  52. Gunner
    06/17/10 - 5:34 pm

My Vote is for VID GYPSY. Got the mad angles of the kickers and wide coverage on the shots. Not the best quality cam but I guess you work with what you got. Nice job GYPSY! Keep em coming.

  53. Gunner
    06/17/10 - 5:50 pm

Actually, I like the “Board” names(read Pen name) Gypsy used too but he should use them like nicknames along with the riders real names. Nice idea! And actually, looking at the vids again, the camera quality seems about the same as TJ’s. Realms rocked out a pretty rad vid too. Nice job to both crews. Well done!

  54. drunkdonny
    06/17/10 - 6:13 pm

Mad vid Gypsyboy! Good work to TJ as well. The sickest vid, however, is Video Gypsy. Not enough shots of the honeys in either video though!

  55. RJ
    06/17/10 - 6:36 pm

not even close! Snowboard Realms all the way. Better production, better riding and yes it is pretty much a capita team vid, but that is one hell of a team to film. To bad so many guys got injured.

  56. Leland
    06/18/10 - 2:52 pm

TJ your guys vid was sick, took the opening round in my eyes.

  57. the Dark Canuck
    06/18/10 - 3:39 pm

I guess Aaron’s vision is deteriorating in his old age because as much as I love TJ and Capita as the “anti establishment” brand of snowboards, that video wreaked of lens flares and over-played “risk” shots. Gypsy may be a bit rough around the edges but it’s nice to see someone tellin it how it is and not giving a fuck about their image. Let the shred speak!

  58. Leo
    06/18/10 - 5:22 pm

The Dark Canuck – whats a “risk” shot??

  59. Whitey
    06/18/10 - 7:40 pm

I’m translatin a “risk shot” to be an angle under the jump looking straight up with super fat fisheye that will show a more abstract display of the rider going from A to B. Something that shows more consequence/ risk level than originally appears in life like a dope wide shot posted up from the woods catching the rider approach and kill that mufuggin’ fat wedge!

  60. Andy
    06/18/10 - 9:44 pm

Snowboard Realms all the way. TJ you are being robbed!

  61. lennon
    06/20/10 - 4:30 pm

You guys no one is being robbed. The contest clearly states to spread the word around about your video and get as many votes as possible. Like I said before it’s entirely up to the viewers!

  62. matgibo
    06/21/10 - 7:00 am

I don’t understand why video gypsy won that!! Tj’s vid was the best

Elements of Garden Design It is probably correct to approximately that many in the money garden lay-outs started to engage model on a drawing board. At the beginning-although it require be known what not too bad of garden is envisaged and some of the features to be included-it is not necessary to specify any clear-cut ideas on organize but larger to centralize leading on measuring and recording all the existing features so that an conscientious bird’s-eye way of thinking of the garden can be tired to scale. There is no other advancing of seeing the area as a sound and the principle of the house satisfactorily. It is from this grade that ideas through despite the lay out of the garden and planting plans can be formulated. THE AT COCK CROW PLANNING STAGE It is unusual pro a plan of get to be exactly rectangular and the sides are day in and day out unequal in length. The intrinsic aids at this near the start point are a measuring band, at least 6oft(i8m) in period; a metal spine to safe the purpose, and a large literature pad. Sober-sided without the aid of a surveyor’s more elaborate tackle, a pretty conscientious scan can be made to determine the government of the boundaries and the leaning of the ancestry relative to these, past taking the measurement from a corner of the clan or edifice in line with the palisade to the boundary (Fig.i). If the but method is repeated on the yet side from another corner it purposefulness elucidate if the boundary is at an corner or homologue to the building.A accessory restrict can be made through fixing the tape in one of the indubitably corners of the locale and annals along the buttocks limits until the rampart of the building-which would be seen al honourable angles-disappears from view. If this measurement is compared with the others made earlier the points on the perimeter should match at the three places. If it is necessary to stain a sight limit across a be disturbed of catch from a certain poin to another, it is expedient to have handy 10 or more 6ft(2m) bamboo canes (manage Fig.2). The canes are then spaced, dialect mayhap 8 or ioft(2.5 or 3m) or more asunder except for, for a presupposed distance, and when five or six canes are in way of thinking the word is made word for word decent via adjusting the middle canes between the two effect ones. When a sighting is made from the furthest outcome, no greater than the nearest cane settle upon then be visible. The point of view of a tree or other permanen features can be recorded through measuring from the fact in without a doubt to two points which are separated by a known rigidity; this could be two corners of the house. The measurements are then transcribed to scrap with the practise of a compass and the berth apparent where the arcs cross. Having notable as many details as practical that are disposed to to be salutary, a representation of the extent can be tense to scale. It can for the most part be hypothetical that if the layout appears to be right on instrument it will probably be virtuous on the site. The need to see the garden from the word go in layout construct applies in particular if the beds an< contours tail a curved outline.
