  7. nothin special on October 2, 2009 at 2:31 pm

Bunch of missed grabs and 360’s. Way too many filler shots…..could have been 15 min long.

  8. omg kissyface on October 2, 2009 at 3:45 pm

if these snowboarders want to be taken seriously they should cut the puckered up model bullshit. they know dudes are gonna hate and be jealous, so the posing really doesn’t help

  9. Greggy D on October 2, 2009 at 7:43 pm

Jenny Jones’s part was okay, and Raewyn Reid’s was certainly the best. The other ones? I wasn’t impressed.

Given what guys are pulling nowadays (double corks / rodeos into powder), I would expect at least a fully grabbed 720 by now, perhaps even into powder. I don’t want to see straight airs into powder.. I don’t want to watch what I can do.

Girls like Raewyn impress me because when I watch their parts, there are times when I don’t just think, “that’s clearly a girl riding”. That Front 5 she did into powder looked pretty steezy.. that’s more of the stuff girls need to be doing. Less arm flapping, more grabbing.

  10. adam on October 3, 2009 at 10:17 pm

Overall the cinematography was quite impressive…but the riding…not so much. MFR had a waaaayyy better part than that in no correct way, but the movie was subpar. Comstock was pretty smooth, bleiler..won’t say anything about that, the rest were so so, however I will give props to Jenny Jones for stepping to some big jumps and Raewyn Reid for having me think she was a guy.

Jeremy certainly knows how to film, and it’s admirable that he is trying something new, but I think he should film people who can throw down. Why no Jamie Anderson? She’s one of the only girls I respect on a board, there were so many weak shots, 10 foot cliffs, lame rails, missed grabs, awkward jumping segments, for what this could have been I’m dissapointed. Women’s riding isn’t inspiring at all, it’s time that women’s and men’s snowboarding part ways, and claim ownership over their DISTINCT differences, Women’s snowboarding should be relegated to its’ own market and kept separate from Men’s, because the two share nothing in common aside from sliding sideways on p-tex.

  11. beer on October 3, 2009 at 11:18 pm

    Gretchen’s song was really sick.

  12. SIN on October 3, 2009 at 11:48 pm

I will heavily commend the cinematography.
However, apart from Raewyn Reid’s part. This was just awkward.

If I honestly say anything more about this, I might be perceived as a sexist.

  13. scoob on October 4, 2009 at 1:05 pm

Torah Bright.. had the Best style by far.It would be sick to see her take some shit to rails, back country hits

  14. bizz on October 4, 2009 at 5:21 pm

    horrible!!

  15. jess on October 5, 2009 at 1:10 am

    raewyn kills

  16. jpuro on October 5, 2009 at 3:38 pm

Impressive overall. Begining with Gretchen Bleiler’s spoken segment set a tone that each athlete would be interviewed, and when they weren’t it seemed like a saddend explanation or defense, odd and out of place. I loved the cliffy hilltop woman warrior, Raewyn Reid is totally badass. That bridge is awesome, and her rails undermine any “not as good as the boys” commentary. I wish I could have seen a bigger variety of terrain instead of each rider on the same features, but I think it was great filming of a steller concept.

  17. I on October 7, 2009 at 11:23 am

    chickflick!

  18. kawi on October 7, 2009 at 10:03 pm

Dear Gretchen, get over yourself. Thanks. I cant even put to words how wack she is. There were a lot of sketch landings and riding that it made me wonder if these were their BEST clips/hits? Dang. Im no pro, but I feel like this movie did more damage to chick riding then anything. It showed how our “top” snowboard chick athletes really cant hang much at all. For sure its sick that for the love of riding these girls are throwing down, but the posing/modeling/acting just made it valid on how girls try to hard, and the reasons dudes dont wanna shred with chicks. RReid, you were too good for that video.

Im embarrassed being a chick in the snowboard world right now….. sheeet.

  19. Bird on a tree on October 7, 2009 at 11:49 pm

Wow. the previous girls movies MissChief and Runaway movies were WAY better than this. This movie should have been called ‘its my turn’ because it looked like they just took girls to the same feature and said ‘go!’ Most of the girls all did the same trick anyway. It should have been cut in a third, thanks for the drawn out slow motion and triple the shots, not to mention the crappy fake snow from the ‘media specialists’ who put it in there whose intentions were to try and fool us into thinking this is the next ‘Travis Rice’ girls movie. Yikes. Ried is refreshing. She should have had first and last part. YOu can tell Beaman and Comstock are smooth and have style. Some of the girls should just keep doing contests, because it seems as though grabbing isn’t needed anyway.

  20. emily on October 8, 2009 at 1:23 am

Kawi I feel you a 100%. I’m not sponsor shopping or anything, but what the fuck was that? It seemed painfully obvious that they saved the best, Reid, for last. Lots of potential, but most of these girls have hit a plateau where they feel like they don’t have to. They aren’t pushing the limits anymore.

  21. markus on October 8, 2009 at 8:22 am

Pretty damn good. I sure liked Reid’s part. And nice filming.

But….what the f***’s up with the fake snow everywere? I don’t get it.

  22. Laura on October 8, 2009 at 1:12 pm

i want all of the music on this video. snowing in CO today- couldnt be more excited to shred

  25. Jenn on October 9, 2009 at 10:16 am

my favorite part was when Raewyn slid across the pond. pretty cool. that was an icy wipeout though!

  26. Jeff on October 9, 2009 at 11:12 am

Ms. Bleiler put a new meaning to powder room with her carves in the fresh.

Also enjoyed the kiss she blew me in the beginning.

  27. Derek Campbell on October 9, 2009 at 11:14 am

I want these goggle for my sister cause she just moved to Colorado and has some crap goggles and needs a nasty pair. My favorite part is when Gretchen is standing on that mountain out-looking a some sick scenery that just look ready to get nasty on and then the next part she kills it.

  28. Rachel on October 9, 2009 at 12:19 pm

my fav. trick is when she throws a crippler

  29. sbetsy on October 9, 2009 at 1:44 pm

I love watching Gretchen play in the powder because her style is so playful and smooth, but it was nice to hear her say that when tough things happen and the world “slows down” you can see past yourself. I started boarding at an age where I thought that I knew myself. I thought that I knew that I didn’t like cold, going fast, falling down, or getting hurt. I tried boarding to please other people and found that I really didn’t know myself at all! I love being cold, going fast and I can totally handle falling down and getting hurt. Boarding has given me the opportunity to see past myself and realize that I can surprise myself. Boarding is joyful. Boarding is play. Boarding is a chance to be strong and powerful. Thanks Gretchen for letting us watch you learn about yourself and have fun boarding!

  30. Molly Wilson on October 9, 2009 at 6:13 pm

My favorite Gretchen part was either her crippler 7, her front-five truckdriver, or any of her pow riding. Who new she was so rad at backcountry!! She’s totally going to win the Olympics and then just ride pow.

  31. danshu! on October 9, 2009 at 6:40 pm

Undoubtedly the best part of the film is the Gretchen Bleiler’s part, yes, Gretchen … she got a balls! she’s a kickerass and know how to do it! the scene when she ride in the powder recording herself, gives me a good sensation that I would ride like her someday, and makes me feel so stoked!!! Else encourages all the girls to dare and try freeriding! So what it left now?… JUST TAKE YOUR SETUP!!! put the goggles, take your board, ipod with good music and… LETS GO TO SHRED!!! ;)

  32. Jhana on October 10, 2009 at 4:54 pm

the half pipe airs were awesome, and the part where they were going across the pond was sick.

  33. catagretchen on October 11, 2009 at 7:54 am

The best part is when gretchen goes pro cam between the trees!!

  34. maddynewman on October 11, 2009 at 9:52 am

The cinematography is amazing. The music is sick. All of the girls are amazingly talented. Gretchen does great in the powder. When the snow goes over her, it’s like a sheet covering her. I liked when she blew the snow off of the camera. That was a great way to end her scene.

  35. JoJoBlackhawk on October 11, 2009 at 9:58 am

    Love the chicks who ride.

Also love Gretchen Bleiler rocking Queens of The Stone Age and rippin backcountry powder!

  36. Reed on October 11, 2009 at 10:26 am

favourite part was gretchens entire part
    she kills it

  37. Nate on October 11, 2009 at 11:38 am

wish i could do cripplers like Gretchen! My favorite part is definitely when she charges in the backcountry especially with so much style Girls add so much to snowboarding Thanks GRETCHEN

  38. Josh P on October 12, 2009 at 11:20 am

Gretchen Bleiler’s segment was sick. From her intro all the way to her holding the cam slicing backcountry pow like butter, i was hooked. and The views they shot her from show how big you can go. especially shooting it HD.
The way she rides is ridiculous.
This is the second season my girlfriends boarding. After showing her this video, shes more pumped than ever, and im definitely feeding off of it. She watches Gretchens part over and over again pointing everything out EVERYDAY and i dont mind one bit.

  39. abel on October 12, 2009 at 2:01 pm

    wayyyyyyyyyyyyy

  40. capnz on October 12, 2009 at 6:08 pm

Lisa Filzmoser and Mrs.Reid absoluteley murdered it so gnarly. Gretchen’s part was all right but the rest, shame on you! Except for MFR, she rides awesome but they made her part under a minute long even though she’s one of the better female riders bravo to her for being who she is a.k.a. crazy yet gnarly shred dawg

  41. J-Bone on October 13, 2009 at 12:32 pm

This vid was sick, well put together, and the riding was legit. The girls are killing it. And surely they don’t listen to these other dudes dog them. They are just upset cause these girls ride better than them and make their living snowboarding rather than working a chairlift. Thanks for the free video. Keep up the good work.

  42. Lorraine on October 14, 2009 at 9:08 am

Such talent! Thank you for the video :D

  43. reza s. on October 14, 2009 at 11:17 am

Right on girls… you guys are killing this year!
This movie was sickk, nice editing and everything.
ill see you guys up at bear this season
btw what was the song to jenny jones part?

  44. Christine on October 18, 2009 at 3:49 pm

I loved watching Reid, Bright, Jones, and Filzmoser kill it. I thought their parts were the best, but wanted to see more of MFR, she’s so gnarly. And Gretchen? Talk about embarrassing, I felt she cared more about beauty shots. Overall I think it’s a sick movie with great editing.

  45. Liz D. on October 23, 2009 at 7:12 pm

Gretchen’s part of the film grabbed the concept. She said how she reinstated her love for herself and for the sport. Her night ride in the pipe was sick and her back country was amazing. She is a great rider and she enjoys being out there. She does it for the love of the sport not for the fame. Great film all over

  46. mia on October 25, 2009 at 4:01 pm

…are we watching the same movie? Think I’m just a guy jealous about the girls?

I can show you shot upon shot from Peep Show and Shotgun, both all female trick pornos that completely crush this movie.

This was All filler No Thriller.

  54. rbr86 on November 10, 2009 at 3:14 pm

no kiddin sin… why does snowboarder keep putting this back on the top of the vid list… let it die!! The fs boardslide at 1:16 in the intro of peep show had more steeze than the entirety of this movie. The girls in stance are good shredders…. I don’t know wth happened……… how many 10 ft fontside 180’s can you put in a movie???

  55. Sorry on November 11, 2009 at 12:01 am

This was embarrassing, what a waste of sponsors’ money. That intro to Raywen’s part was just stupid. why no Leanne, Mare-France, Priscilla, Jame Anderson, Cheryl, Natasha, Annie, girls actually killing it Bring back Misschief from the looks of this movie or that Peep show movie we really need it. Hopefully Stance goes away

  56. Melanie on November 17, 2009 at 3:29 pm

To all the haters I thought this film was sick. How can you overlook the obvious size of jump difference in this film compared to older videos? Good job Kimmy.

  57. Kalash on November 18, 2009 at 9:06 am

It’s easy to be a hater while lounging in mom’s basement, eating Cheetos and having 0 (zero) accomplishments to your name.

Obviously this movie wasn’t Travis Rice caliber flick, but it deserves its share of praise.

To all the haters: Feel free to post links to your videos for everyone to see.

Let’s see if your 3 foot rail recycled tricks in your mom’s trailer-park backyard can compete…

    :)

  58. confused on November 18, 2009 at 11:21 pm

Tara Dakides had better video parts that this ten years ago. all of these girls should tag along with big film crews so they get pushed to where they have the potential to be and get a couple shots in instead of patting each other on the back for all doing the same trick on the same jump/cliff/rail and getting a full video part. women in snowboarding need to hold themselves to a higher standard.

  59. woody on December 30, 2009 at 5:16 am

    really nice movie girls
my question is what song do they use for lisa filzmoser’s part (starts at 20:44)?
